Because you really never know who's watching.A full scan took about 40 minutes, and works happily by itself in the background.Every now and then Kaspersky will clean block you from going on a site it it detects something really dangerous - others it will give you a "are you sure" prompt, but the real nasties it makes the decision for you. You can do fine without it and the program works just as well.Webcam blocker is my absolute favourite thing. You can log in to My Kaspersky, which personally I only find useful if you've got a few devices as it's a portal to manage and see them all - but otherwise it's mostly marketing faff, and Kaspersky doesn't push you to sign up or prompt you continually to do so. Once you've downloaded from the site, it's kind of ready to go.
It does more than this in the background, but doesn't confuse you with giving you too many options to adjust things yourself.
There's no CD included.My favourite thing is how easy to use it is, the options are only what you need - scan, update, safe money, parental control and privacy protection. You have to download the trail from the Kaspersky website first, then use the code to validate the license.
